Joshful Apps Private Limited (the “Company”) operates and manages the Dhol platform (“Service”)—an online matrimony and matchmaking application powered by AI-based compatibility algorithms. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website https://www.dhol.ai and the Dhol mobile application (collectively, the “Site”).

The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Company, while “you,” “your,” or “user” refer to any individual who accesses or uses the Site or Service. By creating an account or using Dhol, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree, you should discontinue use of the Service immediately.

Eligibility and User Responsibility

The Dhol Service is strictly intended for individuals who are twenty-one (21) years of age or older. Each user must complete mandatory identity verification using a valid government-issued photo ID before accessing or using the Service. By registering, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement and that all information you provide is accurate, truthful, and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur through your account. The Company shall not be liable for any unauthorised access or misuse arising from your failure to maintain account security.

Description of Service

Dhol is an online-only matrimony and matchmaking platform that enables verified users to connect with potential partners through AI-based compatibility algorithms. The Service is available globally to eligible adults and functions entirely through the website and mobile app. All user profiles on Dhol are verified and require payment prior to activation. Matches are refreshed weekly through automated AI recommendations for every user. Pro members have the additional ability to manually search among consenting verified profiles. Dhol does not provide offline meetings, personal introductions, or guarantees regarding match outcomes or marriage.

Payments and Subscriptions

All payments for Dhol’s paid plans are processed in Indian Rupees (INR) and can be completed through the official website or the mobile app. The platform offers multiple subscription packages with varying durations and benefits. Subscription fees are non-transferable and generally non-refundable once payment has been made.

The Company may, at its sole discretion, consider refund requests under exceptional circumstances following a manual review process. Any such request must be submitted in writing to hello@dhol.ai, along with the registered email address, payment details, and reason for the request.

User Profiles and Content

To use Dhol, every user must upload at least one clear profile photo and one selfie for identity confirmation. Users must register using their real name as per their government ID, though an optional nickname may be displayed publicly on their profile.

Specific optional personal details, including income, occupation, family background, or horoscope information, may be displayed if the user voluntarily provides them. Users are fully responsible for ensuring that all information and content uploaded to their profiles is genuine, current, and accurate. Misrepresentation, use of false identities, or posting offensive, misleading, or illegal content is strictly prohibited.

The Company reserves the right to review, moderate, or remove any profile or content that violates these Terms without notice or refund.

Privacy and Data Handling

We collect and store the personal data you provide for purposes of matchmaking, safety, verification, and improving the user experience. This includes details you submit during registration and interactions within the platform. Data is securely retained for three (3) months following account deletion, after which it is permanently erased unless retention is required by law.

Users may request export of their personal data in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India). Matches are updated weekly, and match history is not displayed; however, the same profiles may appear again in future recommendations. We do not sell, trade, or rent user data to third parties. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Once a subscription is purchased, cancellations are not permitted. Users may choose to delete their account at any time; however, no refund will be issued for the unused portion of the subscription. As a general rule, Dhol does not provide refunds under normal circumstances.

In exceptional cases, users may submit a written request for refund consideration. Each request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the Company, and a decision will be communicated after internal verification. To initiate a review, users should email hello@dhol.ai with complete payment information and the reason for the request.

Communication and Marketing

By using Dhol, you consent to receive essential service-related communications, including account updates, alerts, and notifications. We may also send promotional or marketing messages related to our services or new offerings.

You may opt out of receiving promotional content at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in such communications or by adjusting your in-app settings. Dhol may occasionally feature testimonials or success stories shared by users; however, no personal story, name, or image will be published without the user’s clear written consent.

User Safety and Conduct

Dhol functions solely as a digital introduction platform that enables users to connect with potential partners. The Company is not responsible for the interactions, communications, or relationships that occur between users once contact has been established. Users must treat each other respectfully and comply with all applicable laws and community standards.

Any form of harassment, abuse, obscene language, or inappropriate behavior will lead to immediate suspension or termination of the offending account without refund. Users have the right to report or block others directly through the in-app reporting system. The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to any user found violating these Terms or engaging in unsafe or unlawful conduct.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Dhol does not guarantee successful matches, responses, compatibility scores, or eventual marriage. The platform relies on algorithms and user-provided data, and outcomes may vary from person to person. The Company does not verify or vouch for the background, character, financial status, or authenticity of any user beyond identity verification through official documentation.

Users are solely responsible for verifying any information and for exercising discretion and judgment before meeting or engaging further with another user. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company disclaims all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the platform or from any interaction between users.

Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes, claims, or controversies arising from or related to your use of the Dhol Service shall fall exclusively within the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Kolkata, India. Users agree to attempt to resolve any disputes amicably through discussion or mediation before initiating any legal proceedings.

Modifications to Terms

The Company reserves the right to modify, update, or amend these Terms at any time without prior notice. Significant changes will be communicated to registered users via email or a prominent notice on the website or app. Continued use of the Service after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Users are encouraged to review this page periodically to stay informed of the current policies.
